Gavin Jones, an SF/Bay Area native, began his recording career in his early twenties, working with bands in the jazz and blues scene here in San Francisco. Frequenting shows by pianist Cecile Welles and guitarist's Dave Bernstein and Jim Campilongo, Gavin developed a great love for jazz and traditional music from here and around the world. His passion for recording music led him to leave his work as a Lighting Technician in the Los Angeles film world, and in 2003 return to San Francisco to build his first Recording Studio in the Sunset district of San Francisco.
Gavin has a Bachelor of Fine Art's degree in Film Production from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Duvateen Sound has been active in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene for 9 years. Gavin's original vision was to create a high quality yet affordable recording studio for local singer/songwriters, folk and jazz artists.
Opening its doors in the fall of 2003, Duvateen Sound quickly became a popular destination for many of the Bay Area's talented working musicians.
As business developed, Duvateen Sound expanded its services to include Mobile Recording and Live Sound Reinforcement.
